Stronger Together: Building Real Partnerships with Law Enforcement
Keeping Spokane safe is not a one-person job — it takes a team. And the most effective public safety team is one built on trust, collaboration, and accountability between prosecutors and law enforcement.
Over the course of my career, I’ve developed strong, working relationships with local and federal law enforcement agencies, from the Spokane Police Department and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office to the FBI, DEA, ATF, and Homeland Security. These partnerships aren’t just symbolic — they’re operational. They’ve helped take violent criminals off the streets, disrupt gang activity, and target drug traffickers who endanger our neighborhoods.
When law enforcement and prosecutors are aligned, communication improves, investigations are stronger, and justice is delivered faster and more fairly. That’s how we protect our communities.
But this collaboration must also come with accountability. Our duty is to the people — not to a system, not to tradition. That means using our partnerships to drive smart, ethical, and effective prosecutions that prioritize public safety without compromising fairness or due process.
As your next Spokane County Prosecutor, I will:
Strengthen partnerships across agencies to ensure violent offenders are prosecuted effectively
Cut red tape and silos that delay justice or compromise investigations
Work alongside law enforcement—not above or behind them—to pursue real results for Spokane County
Law enforcement and prosecutors must operate as one team, united by a shared mission: making Spokane safer for everyone. I’m proud of the trust I’ve earned from those on the front lines, and I will continue to lead with that same integrity, grit, and shared purpose.
